Obese women have exercise phobia

Researchers have reported that obese women may have a phobia of exercise which stops them being active because they feel self conscious and are afraid of injury.

Far from the subjective opinions of 'laziness' which people are quick to attribute to this population, the research suggested that there are complex mental barriers that may prevent women from participating in regular activity.
