Women worry 'more about weight than cancer'
A recent poll has found that women worry more about their weight and the effects of ageing, than they do about cancer and heart disease.
The poll, of more than 1000 women, found that weight and ageing were the biggest health fears, ahead of cancer, heart disease and infertility.
The poll also revealed some interesting trends in womens health.
Of the 1000 plus people surveyed, not one said that HIV/Aids was a concern, and fewer than 1% said that STDs were their main worry.
Of women in their 20's, the majority of respondents would rather seek internet advice before approaching their GP, as were women in their 40s. Only one third of respondents stated their own GP would be the first port of call for medical information.
