April Is Bowel Cancer Awareness month and Bowel Cancer UK would like to see an increase in awareness of this cancer. They say that it is the 2nd biggest cancer killer but shouldn’t be as it is very treatable, especially if diagnosed early and that lack of awareness has a lot to do with so many people dying from it.
This April, Bowel Cancer UK, are focusing on raising awareness of the symptoms and encouraging people to go to their GP if they have concerns. Their website gives a variety of ways to help them raise awareness from organising an information stand to simple, fundraising ideas to more personal ways such as making sure your family and friends know about bowel cancer and sharing your story if you or a family member has been affected by it.
