Ground-breaking Breast Cancer campaign launches in Scotland (September 2012)
A new Scottish Government Detect Breast Cancer Early programme was launched in September 2012 which aims to improve cancer survival rates by increasing the proportion of Scots diagnosed in the earliest stages of the disease, when a better range of treatment can be made available to patients.

One in nine women will experience breast cancer in their lifetime but you have a higher chance of surviving the disease if it’s detected in it earliest stages.
