Info Campaigns

  • Resources - Range of stress & mental health materials available for displays: posters, leaflets etc. ….
  • Payslips – to publicise a mental health campaign why not print a message on staff payslips.
  • Displays : The ‘Mental Health’ display can be hired free of charge and delivered to your workplace.
  • Quirky advertising - Have a progressive campaign to advertise your activities eg: a countdown "Only 1 week to go – Scottish Mental Health Week". Put posters in unusual places eg: lifts, windows, or even in the loos.
  • Email messages – send health related messages to staff to back up your campaign eg: "People are not born with a mental illness, nor is it part of someone’s personality. It is an illness like any other, and can last anything from several weeks to a lifetime. Anyone can suffer from a mental illness. This includes doctors, lawyers, policemen & politicians. One in five Scots are affected at any one time. If you wish to find out more about mental illness pick up a leaflet in reception or phone the Scottish association for Mental Health on 0141 568 7000

Other ideas:

  • Leaflet stands
  • Health notice boards
  • Intranet advertising
  • Screen savers
  • Lists of local services, agencies, support groups, phonelines & Employee Counselling Services.
