Seminars

Seminars allow you to get people together to discuss relevant health issues, and increase understanding.  Sexual health however can be a sensitive issue, and some people may feel uncomfortable with such a topic in a group setting.

It is therefore important that if you do run such an event, you also find a way to engage  people who may not wish to do so in groups, perhaps by informal drop in sessions or further informatioj campaigns.

You could:

• Increase staff awareness of current STI rates by holding information days/talks
• Increase staff understanding of AIDS and HIV by inviting local HIV/AIDS charities to host a seminar
• Involve staff in developing a HIV/AIDS Policy.
